Health workforce: two Senegalese physicians were trained in Bern as HBV infection clinical experts. Both then trained ten clinicians to perform transient elastography.

Health information: A clinical database was developed to gather information on the number, type and accuracy of diagnostic procedures performed, and to monitor liver disease burden and HBV antiviral therapy eligibility in the clinical settings.
